Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Diego is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to welcome guests, recommend dishes and drinks, and help keep service on track and up to standard, delivering memorable dining experiences.

You’ll tailor each guest’s experience to their tastes, maintain cleanliness and safety, assist with kitchen duties when needed, handle queries, wear the uniform with pride, and stay flexible for night, weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

Strong - ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs (23 kg).
Literate - reading, writing and basic maths required.
Flexible - night, weekend and holiday shifts.
Compliant - adhere to local food handling laws and fluent in local language.
Articulate - friendly, warm communicator.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests, recommend food and drinks, and help keep service on track and up to standard.
Own your responsibilities by keeping supplies and equipment stocked and minimise waste.
Address unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents with supervisor or duty manager.
Maintain a clean and safe space by following procedures and wearing protective equipment.
Ensure cleanliness beyond minimum standards and assist with washing up and kitchen duties as needed.
Assist guests with queries or advice and wear the uniform with pride.
Take on ad-hoc duties as needed to support the team.
