Job summary

Detour American Grille & Bar - Southport is seeking a friendly server to provide food and beverage service, greet guests, and take and input orders into the POS system to inform the kitchen. You will deliver orders, check accuracy, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout service.

Responsibilities include maintaining station cleanliness, adhering to all regulations, and upholding liquor policies. Candidates should be 18+, have a valid Food Worker Card, and experience in serving is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Food Worker Card required.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and beverage including taking, delivering, and clearing of orders.
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains specials/promotions.
• Takes the order and inputs it into the POS to inform the kitchen of the order details.
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy, and delivers it to guests.
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
