Job summary

The Las Olas Company / Riverside Hotel is seeking a friendly SERVER for our Food & Beverage team in Fort Lauderdale. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and deliver meals with polished service.

This role requires quick guest acknowledgment, attention to detail, and the ability to settle checks. You will also set up the dining room and maintain a clean, stocked station throughout service.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest-facing dining roles preferred.
• Ability to present menus and answer questions about food.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge guests within 90 seconds of seating.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
• Take order promptly and relay to kitchen and service bars when necessary.
• Serve courses from kitchen and service bars using correct service procedures.
• Observe diners to attend to additional requests and determine when meal is complete.
• Settle guest checks and turn in all checks at the end of shift with a report for Accounting.
• Set up dining room with clean and polished equipment.
• Maintain a presentable and fully stocked section throughout the dining period.
• Complete all closing duties, including proper breakdown of dining room.
