Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking a customer-focused store associate to join our team. You will handle sales transactions, operate the POS, and ensure a clean, safe store environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities include food preparation support, merchandising, and adherence to company policies. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Competent with PDI Enterprise POS system.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn tasks quickly with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit if required by store/county.
• English verbal and written communication required.
• Open availability for all shifts within district.

Responsibilities

• Preserve safety of employees and customers in the work location.
• Conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly.
• Enter all transactions into the register, accept payments and account for funds.
• Operate POS cash register and fuel console and handle money and payments.
• Perform service transactions according to company policy (alcohol/tobacco/lottery/fast food).
• Check identifications for restricted items per policy.
• Participate in promotions and campaigns and practice suggestive selling.
• Maintain a neat, clean store inside and out and wear uniform.
