Trivoli Tavern in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Full Time Host to join our team. The ideal candidate embraces hospitality, smiles at guests, and helps create a smooth, welcoming dining experience.

You will manage reservations, greet guests, seat parties, and keep the host stand organized while upholding Hogsalt's values of harmony and teamwork. Open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.
• Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.
• Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up before and during service and complete any additional opening duties.
• Manage all aspects of reservation systems: confirmation messages, checking in guests, special requests and celebrations, table plotting, updating floorplans, etc.
• Lead guests to tables and follow service standards for seating, distributing menus, and creating a great first impression at the table.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and provide consistent, genuine, and generous service; create personal connections and use names whenever possible.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining room throughout service, including proper maintenance of all menus and other supplies.
• Provide a warm welcome to each guest who enters the restaurant and acknowledge their departure at the end of their experience.
• Address any guest needs or concerns as soon as possible; communicate any complaints or issues with food or service to leadership.
• Complete all closing duties including closing sidework, general cleaning projects, and any additional tasks assigned by leadership.
• Ensure all steps of service are properly executed.
