Job summary

The Vendue in Charleston is seeking a Guest Experience Manager to orchestrate an experiential stay from pre-arrival to post-departure, acting as host, curator, and stage manager. You will welcome guests with a glass of bubbly, tailor room amenities, coordinate restaurant and rooftop bookings, share artwork stories, and collaborate across hotel departments to create flawless, memorable moments.

1–2 years in hospitality, willingness to work a flexible schedule, and familiarity with Opera hotel

• 1–2 years in a guest-facing hospitality or related role.
• Experience with hotel software (Opera) is a major plus.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A vibrant, welcoming attitude with strong organizational skills.

The Role (Your Script)

Forget the traditional front desk grid—as a Guest Experience Manager (GEM), you are a consummate host, orchestrator, and curator of an experiential stay from pre-arrival to post-departure.

• Own the Stage: Welcome guests into our "living room" with a chilled glass of bubbly, streamlining check-ins right from the comfort of our couches.
• Curate the Stay: Anticipate needs, coordinate personalized room amenities, text with guests via our messaging app, and secure reservations at our signature restaurant, Revival, or The Rooftop.
• Share the Story: Become a local insider and an expert on our exhibited artwork, comfortably guiding guests through our gallery collections and connections with local artists.
• Collaborate: Partner dynamically across all hotel departments to execute flawless, memorable "surprise and delight" moments.

What You Bring

• The Experience: 1–2 years in a guest-facing hospitality, tourism, or similar relationship-focused role. Experience with hotel software (like Opera) is a major plus.
• The Mindset: A vibrant, welcoming attitude that makes people instantly feel at home. You are self-motivated, organized under pressure, and inherently helpful.
• The Flexibility: Comfortable staying untethered from a desk, moving around public guest spaces, and working a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).

• Salary: $45,000-48,000 annual base salary based on experience. Monthly commission and annual bonus opportunities.
