Job summary

St Louis Blues is seeking a Guest Experience Steward to join our arena team. You will create a welcoming environment for guests and staff, assist with event operations, and support management during events, including after-hours tasks and incident reporting.

The role requires 21+ years of age, ability to obtain a security license, basic computer skills, and reliable transportation. You will work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, and earn $19.50 per hour with a new hire bonus after

Qualifications

• Clear written communication essential for incident reports.
• Must obtain St. Louis City/County Security License upon hiring.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, welcoming environment for all guests and staff.
• Lead and supervise staff in designated areas.
• Monitor policy compliance, safety, and guest behavior.
• De-escalate situations with effective communication.
• Maintain regular and effective radio communication.
• Provide world-class hospitality before, during, and after events.
• Limit access to restricted areas to authorized personnel.
• Familiarize with building layout and guest policies.
• Assist with event setup and crowd flow.
• Listen to guests and resolve concerns; inform managers when needed.
• Respond to guest/staff illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
• Demonstrate situational awareness and sound decision-making.
• Anticipate guest needs to prevent escalation of issues.
• Understand related post-orders (Guest Experience Ambassador, Safety Ambassador, Concierge).
• Lead staff and guests during emergencies.
• Foster a safe, fun, and inclusive work environment.
