Job summary

Tommy Bahama is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Indio, CA to supervise, train, and inspect the performance of the housekeeping team to ensure the hotel standards are met and consistently delivered to guests. The role includes assisting with coverage as needed and maintaining communication with Front Desk and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
• Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train housekeeping staff to meet hotel standards.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for quality and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Engineering and other departments.
• Manage training for new hires and ongoing staff development.
• Monitor linen distribution and par stock levels with housemen.
• Lead special project teams during General Clean Program cycles.
• Audit Self-Inspector and team performance with regular feedback.
