Job summary

Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up and break down banquet functions and ensure top-tier meeting experiences for clients at the property in Indio, CA. You will stock and maintain meeting rooms, coordinate with F&B, and support other departments as needed.

The role requires a warm, attentive demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
• Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of Meeting Room Set up, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism.

• Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
• Set up tables and chairs to meet the function specifications.
• Properly clean meeting space at beginning, during, and end of events, including not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping, scrubbing.
• Review the Event Order to determine function requirements.
• Report guest request changes to F&B Manager.
• Assist other departments as needed to ensure optimum service.
