Responsibilities

• Welcome guests upon arrival and seat them promptly; present menus and inform guests about options.
• Manage the waitlist: record names, party sizes, provide estimates, notify when tables are ready.
• Accommodate seating requests while balancing guest flow and update supervisor on counts and wait times.
• Present menus and introduce guests to their server; ensure proper presentation and report missing items.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction; thank guests and invite return.
• Answer calls; assist with reservations, directions, and questions about hotel amenities.
• Serve as primary trainer for new hosts with hands-on instruction on greetings, seating, waitlist, reservations, and etiquette.
• Assist Private Events Manager with events in restaurant and bar; prep spaces and manage guest flow.
• Support private dining events by providing information and sharing leads.
• Stay informed about house count, VIPs, and upcoming events to provide attentive service.
• Assist service staff by running food, refilling beverages, and bussing tables.
• Maintain clean menus, check presenters, wine lists, and the host stand; monitor restrooms.
