The St. Joe Company seeks a friendly Greeter for The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach, FL. You will warmly greet guests, escort them to tables, and assist with seating while maintaining positive guest relations and ensuring a smooth dining experience.

Required: basic English reading/writing and strong customer service experience. This role emphasizes attentiveness, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to busy restaurant environments.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred.
• Experience in customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Extend courteous departures as guests leave.
• Be aware of wait times and notify guests during busy times.
• Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintain room cleanliness.
• Complete closing duties as assigned.
• Restock supplies as needed.
• Be familiar with restaurant menus and highlight items for guests.
• Maintain knowledge of table and seat numbers and proper setups.
• Guide servers and bus persons in table setup.
• Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently.
• Check with reservations and managers to ensure proper staffing and organization for evenings.
• Check with kitchen to verify menu item availability.
• Communicate with servers, managers, and kitchen to synchronize timing with guest flow.
• Thank guests leaving to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
