Job summary

The Indie in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests and manage seating flow. You will coordinate reservations and walk-ins, hand off to servers, and maintain a clean, welcoming entry area during weekend and weekday shifts.

Ideal candidates are outgoing, organized, and able to multitask while providing exceptional guest experiences. The role requires standing 6–8 hours and lifting up to 25 lbs, with at least 1 year of prior host/hostess experience.

Responsibilities

• Guest Greeting: warmly welcome guests, open doors, and hand off to server.
• Reservation & Waitlist Management: manage bookings using Open Table; provide wait times.
• Seating Coordination: escort guests to tables and balance workload.
• Phone Etiquette: answer calls for reservations, takeout, and inquiries.
• FOH Upkeep: keep host stand clean and restrooms presentable.
• Team Support: assist bussers and servers during rushes.
