Job summary

Toledo Museum of Art is seeking a Temporary Exhibition Experience Host to support a welcoming, safe, and engaging visitor experience during a special temporary exhibition. You will be a visible presence in the galleries, assist visitors with wayfinding, answer questions, support exhibition flow, and help create positive guest interactions.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public and creating positive visitor experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years in visitor service, hospitality, customer service or sales preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to engage diverse visitors.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and engages with guests in the temporary exhibition gallery, providing directions and information about campus, collections, events and artists.
• Responsible for tasks associated with the temporary exhibition.
• Provide clear messaging to visitors regarding the exhibition and assist with visitor flow and occupancy.
• Monitors capacity and reports it accurately within the temporary exhibition.
• Promotes Museum memberships, events and merchandise; engages visitors and collects feedback.
• Represents the museum with professionalism, warmth and courtesy; participates in mandatory training.
