Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is hiring a Host/Server Assistant to deliver friendly and efficient service in a high-volume dining area. You will welcome guests, seat them, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth guest experience while upholding food-safety and cleanliness standards.

The position includes a compensation range of $15.16 per hour with tip eligibility, along with benefits like health insurance, paid sick leave, and growth opportunities within the Outback family.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Excellent communication and guest service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile.
• Greets incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner. Seats guests in the dining and bar areas, while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinates wait, and seats Guests with a sense of urgency.
• Always smiles and has genuine conversations with Guests.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Busses tables, delivers food and supports the dining room, while ensuring every opportunity to WOW our guests is fulfilled.
• Will have a general knowledge of the food and drink menu and be able to recommend and upsell products.
• Answers the phone in a prompt and professional manner and directs calls.
• Leads the lobby experience for each Guest, following Outback hospitality standards.
• As a Servers Assistant, you will be assisting guests and supporting Servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring a clean, welcoming dining environment.
