Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is seeking a Servers Assistant to join the Outback dining team in California. You will support servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and helping maintain a welcoming, clean dining room.

This hourly, non-exempt role offers flexible scheduling, meal discounts, and opportunities for growth through our Shift Leader program. A focus on hospitality, teamwork, and complying with food safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Work in hot and cold environments.
• Move quickly in a fast-paced restaurant.
• California ServSafe or Responsible Beverage Service certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile.
• Greets guests, seats them, and passes to service staff.
• Coordinates wait lists and seating with urgency.
• Supports all areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Bus tables, deliver food, and assist servers.
• Knowledge of menu items to upsell.
• Answer the phone promptly and direct calls.
• Lead lobby experience following hospitality standards.
• Assist Guests and support Servers by serving beverages and clearing tables.
