Job summary

Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Casual Restaurant Runner / Host to join our high-volume Food and Beverage Operations. You will greet members, manage seating, assist with take-out orders, and maintain a clean, professional host podium.

This is a day-shift oriented, year-round role with 3–5 shifts weekly, evenings and weekends required. Compensation includes an $8.00 hourly base for hosts with 20% tip pool; runners earn $12.00 hourly base plus a 3% tip-out from servers

Qualifications

• Six months of food service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for six hours.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Year-round position with availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet members immediately upon entry with a smile and by name.
• Offer to hang coats, hats, and umbrellas.
• Assist with take-out orders and maintain cleanliness of host podium.
• Maintain seating flow and balance reservations with the waitlist.
• Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely food delivery and guest satisfaction.
