Job summary

Keswick Hall And Club in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Food Runner to support servers with timely food delivery and guest requests, helping ensure exceptional service in our luxury setting.

You will assist with presenting food, setting up dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness throughout shifts. This role requires flexibility across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of food and beverage experience.
• Knowledge of all food and beverage products offered and how they are prepared.
• Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Strong sense of urgency and organization.
• Strong commitment to service.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and team player skills.
• Must possess the ability to organize and prioritize.
• Must be able to go up and down staircase as well as stoop and bend.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the server with delivery of food from the kitchen and guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Create a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere for guests.
• Provide professional, courteous and efficient presentation of food and beverage service.
• Clean and set up tables and perform other service-related duties.
• Stack trays properly for efficient unloading for stewarding and maintain safety standards.
• Complete closing duties and restock items, clean up and close out areas.
• Set up, stock and maintain work areas; ensure cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver.
• Describe food items thoroughly to guests upon delivery.
• Work harmoniously with co-workers to set up and clean tables and restock utensils.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
