Job summary

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or hosting.
- Fluent English required; other languages preferred.
- Strong communication skills with guests and staff.
- Reading and writing abilities used for reservations and seating charts.
- Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts.
- Basic mathematical skills for seating and guest management.
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Answers the phones and takes messages/reservations.
- Maintains an accurate wait list when necessary.
- Welcomes guests on arrival and bids them farewell to create a positive experience.
- Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner to ensure satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with all guests.
- Communicate problems to management immediately.
- Coordinate seating arrangements for fast and courteous service.
- Occasional bussing of tables to expedite seating.
- Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties.
