Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in customer service or hosting.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Reading and writing abilities used for reservations and notes.
• Must be able to read, review and understand seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills used for counts and totals.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and takes messages/reservations.
• Maintains an accurate waitlist when necessary.
• Welcomes guests upon arrival and bids farewell as they leave.
• Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with all guests.
• Report problems to management immediately.
• Coordinate seating arrangements for fast and courteous service.
• Occasional bussing of tables to expedite seating.
• Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties.
