Job summary

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is seeking an enthusiastic Event Facilitator to support Lifelong Learning programs and exhibition-related events. This part-time, on-site role provides coordination for classes, workshops, demonstrations, lectures and seasonal exhibitions.

You will work closely with instructors, volunteers and staff to ensure welcoming experiences with excellent guest service from setup through completion, including check-in, space prep, and post-event breakdown.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting events, programs, hospitality, education or guest-facing roles.
• Excellent verbal communication and guest-service orientation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Pass pre-employment requirements including background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate onsite Lifelong Learning classes, workshops, and events on schedule.
• Serve as day-of resource for instructors, partners, volunteers and guests.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of spaces, materials and signage.
• Provide warm, professional welcome and support guest check-in.
• Coordinate event logistics and monitor program timelines.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure smooth execution.
• Gather attendance data and feedback for future programs.
