The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is seeking an events coordinator to act as a professional contact for rentals, group and wedding events. You will oversee setup and teardown, direct vendors, supervise staff for security and parking, and ensure guest satisfaction during events.

This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail, with flexible hours including nights and weekends. Driver’s license may be needed for garden vehicle operations.

Competenze

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; some college is desirable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain professional standards.
• Flexibility with hours including nights/weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for event logistics.

Mansioni

• Assist the Sales and Operations Manager in overseeing staff for event setup/teardown, ensuring plans are followed and property is cared for.
• Direct caterers and outside delivery/set-up personnel for proper use of Arboretum facilities.
• Provide direction for security/parking staff to ensure access and safe traffic flow.
• Interact professionally with guests and remain responsive to needs during events.
• Enforce Arboretum rules and monitor property and furniture care during events.
• Document incidents and complete event paperwork with appropriate signatures.
