Job summary

Morning Belle in Grand Rapids is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests and support the front-of-house team. You will manage seating, take reservations by phone, and help maintain a smooth flow between guests and servers. This entry-level role emphasizes guest satisfaction, teamwork, and a positive first impression.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred (attained or in progress).
Experience in host/greeter or customer service in a restaurant or retail setting preferred.
Strong hospitality mindset with positive guest interactions.

Responsibilities

Greet guests positively as the first interaction with the restaurant.
Determine seating capacity and accommodate party size and special arrangements.
Properly seat guests to keep servers' stations efficiently staffed for fast, friendly service.
Organize menus, LTOs, kid’s menus, and promotional materials for guests.
Take reservations over the phone and document guest details (name, phone, party size, arrival time).
Maintain clean entry and dining areas, assist with other duties during slower times.
