Job summary

BRU Burger Plainfield is seeking a friendly Host to be the first point of contact and set the tone for a welcoming dining experience. In this full-time or part-time role, you will manage the waitlist, greet guests, assist with seating, and provide menu information.

We value strong communication and organization; prior host/hostess experience is welcome but not required as training is provided. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays help ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus.
• Previous host/hostess experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them, manage waitlists and reservations.
• Escort guests to tables and present menus.
• Coordinate seating with servers and kitchen staff.
• Communicate wait times and status to guests.
• Provide restaurant information and assist with coat check.
• Maintain host stand and waiting area clean and organized.
• Relay guest information to team and ensure smooth dining experience.
