Job summary

Applebee’s host/hostess at TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants welcomes guests, seats them promptly, and maintains the flow of the dining room to ensure excellent service. You’ll also help keep the host stand clean and support servers when needed, contributing to a smooth, friendly guest experience.

Ideal candidates are outgoing, dependable, able to stand for long periods, and comfortable handling high chairs or booster seats.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a TEAM
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat
• Ability to wipe, sweep and carry plates to kitchen

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering and departing; hold the door for guests
• Seat guests according to the established plan and needs
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean
• Maintain clean menus and stock
• Complete restroom checks and restock supplies in bathrooms
• Sanitize and reset tables; assist servers with drinks/food as needed
• Perform opening and closing duties to ensure a safe environment
