Job summary

Slhosp is seeking a Host to greet guests, seat them, and manage the lobby with courtesy and efficiency. You will answer phones, assist with take-out orders, and help maintain a clean, safe dining area.

You will handle wait lists, explain menus when needed, and coordinate with servers to ensure guests are seated promptly while upholding health and safety standards. Experience in fast-paced hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the lobby area for guests’ arrival
• Opens door and greets guests as they enter the restaurant
• Determines guests’ seating preferences and informs wait times
• Directs guests to seating and maintains an accurate wait list
• Notifies guests when tables are ready and guides them to their tables
• Distributes menus and answers guest questions
• Answers phones and handles guest inquiries
• Takes take-out orders from call-in and walk-in guests
• Processes, packs and collects payment for take-out orders
• Assists servers by refilling drinks and clearing plates
• Maintains cleanliness of lobby and restrooms
• Ensures compliance with alcohol service laws
• Adheres to health, safety, sanitation and security standards
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
