D.L. Mack’s is seeking a Host to set the tone for every guest’s visit at our Vandelay hospitality-driven tavern in Dallas. You’ll deliver a warm welcome, manage seating, and ensure guests feel cared for from arrival through departure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warm, positive attitude with responsibility and ownership of the role.
• Excellent attention to detail and professional communication skills.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Willingness to complete training quizzes on service standards and guest experience.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest moments.
• Eager to learn and grow within the restaurant.
• State/local food handling certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival to departure.
• Build genuine relationships with guests and create a familiar atmosphere.
• Strategize seating and dining room flow using reservations and guest requests.
• Maintain RESY notes and manage private bookings and changes.
• Seat guests efficiently, balancing experience and availability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu, layouts, and seat numbers to assist service.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism and warmth.
• Coordinate seating plans with servers and managers.
• Assist with guest inquiries and special accommodations.
• Execute opening/closing side-work to keep the host stand organized.
