Job summary

Bob Evans Restaurants is seeking a Host Cashier to warmly greet guests, seat them, and manage menus while keeping lobby, bakery, and retail areas clean. You will handle cash/credit transactions and support marketing efforts.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in a restaurant setting, strong guest service and money-handling skills, and POS system experience. Earn up to $15 per hour with benefits and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills.
• Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge.
• Computer skills (POS system).

Responsibilities

• Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables.
• Monitors guests’ needs and the flow of the restaurant and seats guests accordingly.
• Delivers the appropriate number of menus, kid packs when seating guests.
• Performs restroom checks, answers phone, keeps lobby, bakery and retail areas clean and stocked.
• Practices safe food and beverage handling.
• Interacts with guests and handles queues while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Handles cash and credit transactions and accounts for all receivables.
• Assist in marketing, promotional services and situational selling, such as communicating new promotions.
