Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar is seeking a friendly Host to be the first representation of our brand. You will greet guests, manage seating, and assist servers and management to ensure an amazing dining experience. The role emphasizes a cheerful, energetic, and professional demeanor.

You will work with the front of house team, learn our procedures, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere while supporting operations and guest needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to write and speak English.
• Must have appropriate city, state and federal certifications according to location, including alcohol and food handling certificates.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating and wait times, ensuring a great dining experience.
• Embrace JINYA culture with proper greetings (Irasshai, Arigato).
• Provide menus, answer questions, and assist with accommodations.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team; take reservations and assign tables.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Host station and front door area.
• Support front of house operations, refilling beverages and resetting tables.
• Address minor guest complaints and escalate major issues to management.
• Know restaurant hours, menu, allergies, table numbers, payment options.
