Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar in North Bethesda, MD is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage seating and support the front of house team. You will assist with reservations, provide menus and maintain a clean host station to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, coordinating seating, answering questions, and upholding JINYA values. The role offers hourly pay of $12-$15 plus tips and opportunities for advancement with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience is a plus.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication; ability to multi-task.
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
• English proficiency and required city/state certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ensure seating and manage check-in or wait-list times; engage with guests for a great dining experience.
• Follow proper company greetings and embody JINYA culture in interactions.
• Provide menus, answer questions and assist with special accommodations.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team; answer calls, take reservations and assign tables.
• Keep the Host station clean and assist front of house with setup and service as needed.
• Assist with beverages, table arrangements, maintenance and resetting tables.
• Respond to minor guest complaints and escalate major issues to management.
• Know hours, menu, allergies, table numbers, payments and other restaurant operations information.
