Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa is seeking part-time Hosts to welcome guests, seat them, and ensure smooth service. The role blends indoor and outdoor work with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

You will greet guests, answer questions, assist servers when needed, and maintain clean dining areas while upholding Straz's standards and appearance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or preferred.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
• Comfortable greeting guests and seating at tables.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (5+ hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests and seat them at tables.
• Maintain flow of operations and acknowledge departing guests.
• Respond promptly to guest requests.
• Know Straz Center menus and products.
• Handle cash accurately at the point of sale.
• Keep dining areas clean and organized.
• Assist servers as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear uniform.
• Complete daily paperwork neatly.
