Job summary

Steelbach in Tampa, FL is seeking a Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests, greeting and guiding them to seating while managing wait times and reservations.

You will coordinate seating across dining and bar areas, escort guests to tables, and introduce their server by name to ensure a welcoming dining experience from arrival to departure.

Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required with competitive pay and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as Host/Hostess or Server preferred.
• Ability to greet guests and manage wait times with poise.
• Knowledge of reservations and seating coordination.
• Attention to guest comfort and service etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to Steelbach with warmth and intention.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage the waitlist with confidence and transparency.
• Coordinate seating across our dining and bar areas with precision.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables, present menus, and introduce their server by name.
• Bid farewell to every departing guest.
• Coordinate with the wait staff on available seating and floor flow in real time.
• Give extra care and attention to guests who may need additional assistance.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and address guest inquiries with professionalism.
• Step in to assist the wait staff as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
