Job summary

Harri in Lancaster is seeking a dining room teammate to greet guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and inform guests of their server’s name. You will balance seating among service stations to maintain smooth flow and guest satisfaction.

No prior foodservice experience is required; strong communication and teamwork are valued. You will also handle guest checks, support servers, and keep the dining area clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages of the guests who typically visit the work location.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Experience: No previous foodservice experience is needed, though it is helpful.
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to work with others.
• Must exhibit the ability to make decisions and solve problems rapidly and fairly.
• Must be sensitive to the needs of customers.

Responsibilities

• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed our guests’ expectations.
• Greet guests within 20 seconds of arrival and escort them to a table, provide menus and inform guests of their server’s name.
• Balance customer flow among service stations and seating, accounting for requests for a particular table or server.
• Accurately handle guest check payment and cash transactions, as required.
• Assist with duties of servers such as securing items, clearing, cleaning, sanitizing and resetting tables as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restroom and dining area during shift.
