Job summary

The Original Pancake House in West Loop, Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Host Cashier who can greet guests, seat tables, and assist servers while maintaining a welcoming dining experience.

The role requires strong English communication, ability to handle cash, ring orders, and coordinate with team during busy periods, including weekends and holidays.

You will keep the dining area clean, assist with TOGO orders, and support front-of-house operations as part of a collaborative restaurant team.

Qualifications

• Two years of high school education or related experience, or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to perform basic math when handling cash and making change

Responsibilities

• Greets guests within a minute of arrival and guides to tables
• Sets up tables with silverware, water, and coffee
• Handles front register, takes cash, and makes change
• Rings checks for TOGO orders and packages TOGO items
• Assists other host/cashiers and maintains clean work area
• Keeps restrooms checked for cleanliness and supplies
