Job summary

CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar is seeking a friendly host/hostess to manage reservations and seating. You will greet guests, check them in, and ensure a smooth flow on the floor using OpenTable for accurate guest information.

You will answer phones, take reservations and takeout orders, while keeping the host stand and restrooms clean and organized. The role requires excellent communication and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with guests, servers, and management.
• Basic reading skills for menus and orders.
• Basic computer skills for reservation systems and POS.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Able to work well with others and independently.
• Able to organize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight on OpenTable system.
• Answer phone, take reservations, and process takeout orders.
• Keep menus clean and organized.
• Greet guests, check in, and seat guests.
• Print special chits from OpenTable for servers with instructions.
• Review open reservations and map out shift plans.
• Use OpenTable to capture guest information.
• Coordinate with manager on floor operations to manage wait times.
• Ensure restrooms and host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
