Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Roseville, MI is seeking a host/hostess who greets guests, seats them, and helps maintain smooth dining room flow. You will work with servers to ensure timely service and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

The role requires a friendly personality, strong teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods. Evening and weekend availability is preferred to support peak dining times.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and ability to work as a TEAM.

• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.

• Able to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests.
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs.
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean.
• Ensure menus remain clean and stocked.
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed.
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area as needed and reset the table.
• Assist the servers by taking initial drink orders or running food to the guests in the dining room.
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM.
