Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Michigan is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, seat them according to plan, and help with maintaining smooth dining room flow. • Follow appropriate food safety guidelines
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends

• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat
• Ability to wipe, sweep and carry plates to kitchen

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean
• Ensure menu’s remain clean and stocked
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area as needed and resets the table
• Assist the servers when needed by taking the initial drink order or running food to the guests in the dining room
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM
