Job summary

Denny's in Hanover, PA is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly, and help ensure a welcoming dining experience for every visitor. You will respond to guest concerns, assist teammates, and uphold Denny's Guiding Principles in all interactions.

Responsibilities include managing the guest waiting list and seating order, describing promotions, taking initial beverage orders, assisting with beverages and clearing tables, handling To‑Go orders, and observing cash handling

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must pass all required tests and training for the position.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Meets Denny's uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
• Must place a value on diversity and shows respect for others.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat promptly, maintaining a friendly welcome.
• Describe promotions and take initial beverage orders.
• Assist service personnel with beverages, refills, and clearing tables.
• Enter and deliver To Go orders correctly.
• Address guest concerns courteously and notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain lobby/foyer area clean and inviting.
• Observe cash handling procedures and complete transactions accurately.
• Provide courteous service and teamwork throughout shift.
