Job summary

The Rustic in Dallas, TX is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and manage the dining floor. You will greet guests, provide accurate wait times, escort guests to seating, present menus, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience from arrival to departure.

Ideal candidates are organized, have strong communication skills, and can maintain a clean host area while handling calls and front-desk duties with professionalism. Availability for varied shifts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills to monitor seating across dining and bar areas
• Good physical condition to walk and stand for a full shift
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and certifications are beneficial

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
• Greet customers upon departure and thank them for joining
• Maintain a clean host reception area
• Cater to guests needing extra attention (children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address queries
• Assist with ToGo orders
