Job summary

Sonesta ES Suites San Diego is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to be the guests' first point of connection as they enter the hotel. You will handle check-ins/outs, respond to questions, and resolve requests with warmth to create memorable experiences.

You will work with the team to ensure smooth operations, maintain accurate cash handling, and assist guests with inquiries, deliveries, and local recommendations.

Qualifications

• Spirit to Serve and enthusiasm for hospitality are essential.
• High school education or equivalent experience required.
• Professional presentation and demeanor are required.
• Team-oriented mindset is important.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
• Must show initiative, including anticipating guest and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve guest complaints and compliments professionally and courteously.
• Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently and courteously.
• Reconcile daily activities and close all necessary accounts.
• Learn the property systems and navigate reports quickly and accurately.
• Follow proper cash/check/credit card/AR control procedures and maintain security over cash.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and follow up for satisfaction.
• Identify potential leads through guest interactions and share with Sales team/GM.
• Answer phones and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
