Job summary

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a Coordinator, Guest Services to support an outstanding guest experience by coordinating nonprofit volunteers, event staffing, transportation, and operational logistics during major racing events and year-round activities.

You will recruit and supervise volunteers, prepare training materials, manage vendor relations, assist at the Guest Services Desk, and help develop budgets and schedules while ensuring ADA compliance and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sport management or related field.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Event management experience, preferably within sports.
• Proven supervision experience with event-day staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and web-based programs.
• Strong verbal, written, and listening skills for reports and communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to customer service and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain relationships with volunteer groups and coordinate required documentation, contracts, credentials, and post-event payments.
• Prepare training materials for Guest Services Fan Crew members and volunteers.
• Coordinate social media and radio advertising for hiring events and NPO recruitment.
• Use ABI MasterMind to replicate events, schedule staff, track labor costs, and process payroll for event employees.
• Provide supervision for Tours staff, Crew Chiefs, Tram Maintenance, and Support personnel.
• Assist at the Guest Services Desk in the Daytona International Speedway Ticket and Tours Lobby.
• Prepare post-event summaries for management following major events.
• Coordinate radios, golf carts, apparel, and other event equipment and supplies.
• Assist with hiring-event paperwork and HR documentation and processing.
