Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA-flagged cruise line, seeks Cruise & Excursions Directors for the 2026 season. This shipboard leadership role blends on-board guest engagement with destination excursions, delivering a high-energy, polished experience across activities, shows and social events.

The Director reports to the Hotel General Manager and works long hours on a 7-day-per-week schedule, both aboard and ashore, ensuring premium shore experiences, inventory control, and top-tier guest

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills required.
• Excellent time management with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic AV knowledge.
• Knowledge of U.S. geography is preferred.
• TWIC credential or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment and activity programs.
• Coordinate shipboard and shore excursions and logistics with vendors.
• Present daily briefings and guest communications.
• Oversee inventory, excursions, and guest services at ports of call.
• Coordinate with home office and pre-cruise events.
• Promote onboard sales and brand loyalty.
• Ensure safety briefings and lounge readiness for activities.
• Engage guests throughout cruise with high-energy interaction.
• Serve as brand ambassador during excursions and events.
