Job summary

Elevation Church in Roanoke seeks a campus leader to help oversee worship experiences and volunteer teams. You will develop leaders, connect guests to involvement opportunities, and ensure smooth operation of campus systems and safety measures.

The role requires strong relational skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, creative church environment. Expect a Sunday-Thursday work pattern with in-office presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the overall leadership of the campus, ensuring all worship experiences are executed with excellence in an effort to make our guests feel seen and known.
• Oversee, care for, and grow volunteer teams, including the Welcome Area, Greeters, Ushers, Campus Safety, Volunteer Headquarters, Operations, and Parking.
• Develop leaders and connect our guests with volunteer teams to promote meaningful involvement.
• Implement the infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the areas you oversee.

• Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)

DAY-TO-DAY

• We’re a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we’re in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we’re supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
• There’s a lot to accomplish each week, so we’re pretty fast-paced. We’re also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
• Yes, we work hard. But we’re good at playing hard, too. We’re a creative staff, so there’s no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!
