Job summary

The YMCA in Shrewsbury is seeking friendly Welcome Desk Associates to greet members and guests and provide excellent service. This on-site role requires a positive attitude and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse people.

You will help with memberships, program information, and promote YMCA programs, while assisting with check-ins and building security. Available hours include weekday evenings and weekends; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and a welcoming demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in a service-oriented or sales environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and guests at the Welcome Desk.
• Provide information on memberships, programs and building services.
• Sell memberships and promote YMCA programs.
• Ensure security of the building and proper check-in procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Welcome Desk area and assist with scheduling as needed.
