Blarney Castle is seeking a retail associate to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast‑paced store environment in Michigan. You will handle cash, assist with deli prep, and ensure food safety, store cleanliness, and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience considered for candidates with a strong work record.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with customers and provide information accurately and courteously.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, tax percentages and balancing cash registers.
• Ability to read and apply company procedure documents.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions from management.
• Ability to multitask with good reasoning and organizational skills; monitor activity in-store and at gas pumps.
• Ability to operate microwaves, small ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Remain calm under stress during high-volume periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, undivided attention to customers.
• Actively participate in sales promotions and programs.
• Complete company training and required updates on time.
• Successfully complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions and suggest items to increase sales.
• Receive payments and provide accurate change.
• Operate cash register, credit card scanners and lottery machines.
• Monitor gas pump activity and ensure safe, correct transactions.
• Prepare deli orders accurately.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards and recipes.
• Control deli waste, food spoilage and inventory dates.
• Read data on cash registers and procedure documents.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure timely entries.
