Job summary

The Weston Hotel, a luxury Vermont property, seeks a friendly Hotel Receptionist to greet guests, manage check-ins/outs, and deliver exceptional service. You will act as a brand liaison, assist with reservations, and provide area information to guests, ensuring a memorable stay.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. PTO from day one and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in Hospitality or related industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Must have a positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and patient.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests and complete the hotel’s arrival/check-in experience, fulfilling special requests.
• Engage in purposeful communication and build rapport with guests.
• Effectively engage with guests through phone or electronic communication per brand standards.
• Promote hotel loyalty programs and offer special rate packages and upgrades when appropriate.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of guest expectations and resolve issues.
• Listen to guests and empathize with their challenges, solicit feedback and act on concerns.
• Provide information regarding area, directions, attractions, shopping, or recreational opportunities.
• Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations.
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests in emergencies.
• Use hotel communication log to notify fellow associates of pertinent information.
• If applicable, maintain balance and security of house bank and log all transactions.
