Job summary

Fetzer Institute is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to set the tone for the guest experience at the Fetzer Institute and Seasons Retreat Center. You will greet guests, help with directions, answer questions, and handle unexpected tasks with care and presence.

This full-time, onsite role supports hospitality operations, with a 40-hour work week, typically Monday–Friday. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription, 401(k), paid time off, and an extensive wellness

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in hospitality, customer service, reception, or related setting.
• Appreciation for hospitality as an expression of care and Fetzer’s approach.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and shift quickly.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail in dynamic environments.
• Team-oriented, inclusive, flexible work style.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-desk coverage as primary contact for guests and deliveries.
• Assist guest arrival, orientation, room keys, nametags, transportation, and needs.
• Anticipate and address guest needs, coordinating with staff.
• Support event readiness: room setup, signage, guest materials.
• Coordinate with security, housekeeping, transportation for smooth operations.
• Monitor facility access and security and communicate with security staff.
• Provide administrative support to Hospitality and Operations (mail, supplies, invoicing).
• Offer flexible operational support for time-sensitive needs.
