Job summary

The Fetzer Institute seeks a Hospitality Assistant to set the welcoming tone for the guest experience at the Fetzer Institute and Seasons Retreat Center. Youll greet guests, help with directions, answer questions, resolve odds and ends, and provide behind-the-scenes support to keep hospitality running smoothly.

This full-time onsite role pays $23.70 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription, 401(k), paid time off, and an extensive wellness package.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in hospitality, customer service, reception or related setting.
• Appreciation for hospitality as care and Fetzer’s sacred-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and adapt quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and flexibility.
• Heart for service and calm, grounded presence in busy environments.
• Team-oriented; values inclusiveness and collaboration.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in the Institute’s mission and values.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent front-desk coverage as the main contact for guests and vendors.
• Support guest experience from arrival through departure, including check-in and directions.
• Anticipate needs and coordinate solutions with staff when issues arise.
• Assist with event readiness, room setup, signage, and guest materials.
• Coordinate with security, housekeeping, and other partners for smooth operations.
• Monitor access, cameras and alarm systems; liaise with security personnel.
• Provide administrative support to Hospitality and Operations, including mail and supplies.
• Offer flexible operational support for transportation, guest requests, and errands.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
