Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking frontline staff to deliver friendly customer service and safe, efficient store operations. You will interact with guests, restock and assist with pricing, and maintain cleanliness and order throughout the front-end and parking areas.

The role emphasizes clear communication, teamwork, and following company policies. Physical duties include standing, walking, lifting, and assisting guests with purchases as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to write, speak, hear, and understand spoken word.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Demonstrates friendly, courteous behavior with guests and colleagues.
• Ensures clear, professional communication with team members.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
• Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
• Bags guests' purchases promptly and efficiently within proper guidelines; carries items to vehicles.
• Fills all bag slots and supplies necessary for efficient front-end operations.
• Assist with price checks and go-backs.
• Assists with general housekeeping and 'sweep sheet' duties as assigned.
• Keeps the parking lot clear of carts and returns them to proper store location; follows safety policies.
