Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking a Retail Clerk to deliver outstanding guest service, process sales quickly, and keep the store organized. You will greet guests, assist with promotions, handle registrations, and support management in achieving daily goals.

The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a busy grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or marketing programs.
• Strong guest service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Knowledge of hardware products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding service.
• Greet guests as they enter the store and respond to inquiries.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities set by store management.
• Assist in training and development of peers.
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards; keep register area orderly.
• Assist with processing new shipments and keep receiving/back stock organized.
• Be aware of safety and shoplifting concerns.
• Help guests locate items and process special orders.
• Encourage guests to open Ridley’s Advantage card and explain benefits.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
