Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers in Los Alamos, NM, is seeking a part-time bagger/courtesy clerk to deliver outstanding customer service. You will greet shoppers, assist with purchases, handle transactions via POS, and follow store policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires prompt, friendly assistance, accurate cash handling, and a proactive attitude toward loss prevention and customer satisfaction. Training will cover all checkout procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and food safety guidelines.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products sold in-store.
